Demonstrators set AK Party building a-blaze

A group of demonstrators in Izmir set the AK Party Karşıyaka District Headquarters on fire on Sunday night using Molotov Cocktails and stones.



The AK Party Headquarters building in Izmir's Karşıyaka Girne Boulevard was attacked by a group of demonstrators using stones and Molotov Cocktails resulting in setting the building on fire.

AK Party District Chairman Ömer Cihat Akay referred to the fire, which was extinguished by firefighters, as "Izmir's bleeding conscience."

Over the past three days in Izmir, 368 people have been arrested. Thirty-two police have been injured, one of which is in critical condition.

Another group in Izmir committed arson last night by setting the Lozan Entrance of Kültürpark on fire.

POLICE DEPARTMENT STONED

In Tunceli, a group of nearly 400 threw stones at the Şehit Nahit Bulut Police Department as well as at the TOMA riot control vehicles in the vicinity.
