'Tent-container city' sheltering Syrians refugees prepares for Eid al-Fitr

Syrian families in Gaziantep's tent-container city felt the joy of reaching Eid al-Fitr after embracing Ramadan, however a bittersweet one.

The preparations for Eid al-Fitr in the tent-container city sheltering around 15,000 Syrians in Nizip district of the far southern Turkish city of Gaziantep have been completed on the eve of Eid al-Fitr and the last day of the holy month of Ramadan.

Escaping the violence in their homeland and settling in the tent-container city inNizip as they take refuge in Turkey, Syrian families felt the rejoicing of reaching Eid al-Fitr after embracing the holy month of Ramadan, however as a bittersweet one.

On the last day of Ramadan, Syrians, fasting for a month, carried out a cleaning for the Eid al-Fitr in the areas where they lead their lives with their children.

They are supplied with all their needs by Turkish officials, also buying some of them from the markets in the tent-container city.

Those who wish to look sharp in Eid al-Fitr had a shave and haircut at the hairdresser of the social facilities in the tent-container city.

Despite still feeling the pain of losing their loved ones in the 2-year-old bloody war terrorizing their country, Syrians strive to hold tight on to life in expectation of an hopeful news from Syria.

Syrians in Nizip's tent-container city, with one voice, stressed their sole expectation from the Eid al-Fitr that the ongoing civil war pulverizing and bloodsheding Syria for more than 2 years to come to an end as soon as possible.
