BDP delegation returns with a message from Öcalan

BDP Co-chair Demirtaş and Group Deputy Chairwoman Buldan paid a visit to imprisoned PKK leader Öcalan on İmrali Island on Sunday. Upon their return, they announced the terrorist leader’s message for the resolution process to continue with a new format based on discourse.

Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş and Group Deputy Chairwoman Pervin Buldan met with imprisoned PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan on Imrali Island on Sunday after which they shared a series of message delivered by the terrorist leader in a written statement released to the public.

In the statement, Öcalan states, "I would like to express that I find the fact that the mutual ceasefire remains in place to be especially significant. We are all well aware of how meaningful this process is. However, we all also know that it will be just as difficult as it is meaningful. According to my suggestions and thoughts, if we are able to overcome these difficulties, then we can proceed forward in a new format of evolved and deepened discourse."
