Turkish cuisine celebrated in Jordan

The Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center in Amman, Jordan organized a “Turkish Cuisine Day”.

An event to highlight Turkish food was organized jointly by the Yunus Emre Institute and a cultural institution affiliated with the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event drew a large number of diplomats and their families, employees of Jordan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Turkish citizens in Amman.

Director of the Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center, Mehmet Siddik Yildirim, said, "Turkish cuisine is considered one of the three richest cuisines in the world. We tried to present different foods and offer a taste of Turkish cuisine."

The Yunus Emre Institute also conducts academic research in 32 countries on Turkish language and culture. Amman's Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center has been in operation since April, 2012.
