At least a hundred vehicles involved in western Turkey pileup


Rough weather conditions caused a massive pileup in western province of Bursa on early Saturday, in which at least a hundred vehicles were involved and reportedly seven to sixteen people were injured.Two incidents with 600 meters distance from each other took place in the 2 kilometer long segment of Bursa-Mudanya highway.Due to fog and ice, at least a hundred vehicles, including cars, minibuses, buses and an ambulance dispatched to transfer the wounded, collided with each other.The highway could be reopened to traffic in two hours, officials reported.Eleven vehicles were involved in pileup on TEM highway near Istanbul's Bahçeşehir district of on early Saturday due to ice. A car collided with a bus, causing other nine ensuing vehicles to collide. One person was reported heavily injured along with three people with minor injuries.
