Turkey's Constitutional Court rejected a plea by a military court to annul a law enabling the expulsion of soldiers from the Army if he or she has a live-in partner.A local military court had requested the top court to annul the law but the Consitutional Court ruled out abolition, citing that it was normal for members of the Army to be subject to "strict occupational principles as the requirement of reputation and trust for soldiers since the duty of being a soldier is based on discipline and sacrifice."The Constitutional Court said the ban on live-in partnership did not contradict with norms of a democratic society, as it was only about the proper conduct of military service and did not violate any rights.
