An interesting suggestion came from a professor working at Turkey's Ordu University, as he advised that one should take a picture of the snake in the event of a bite. Not to mention the feasibility of such an action (it requires one probably to be multi-task), one might not be carrying a camera at the time, you might say. But assistant professor Onur Candan working at the Biology Department of Ordu University, thinking of the aftermath of the incident, says the photograph might save your life, since it will help doctors to determine the specific type of the snake, thereby enabling them to give you the right antivenin. In some cases, the snake's poison works through one's system, therefore requiring a fast medical intervention. "Almost all of us have smart phones. If a poisonous snake bites you, a fast operation might be needed. An antivenin will be found depending on the type of the snake," the professor Candan said.
