Turkish drivers to learn road etiquette

Getting behind the wheel in Turkey can be frustrating for many due to fellow drivers recklessly overtaking or simply acting rude.

To solve this problem, Turkey will introduce mandatory road etiquette courses for prospective drivers at driving schools next year.

Student drivers seeking to obtain driving licenses will have to complete etiquette courses which will educate them on how not to overtake other drivers and harass other drivers with reckless moves, the importance of using indicators while changing lanes. Students will also be taught the significance of safety lanes as well as exclusive lanes for emergency vehicles, which are often occupied by drivers seeking to skip heavy traffic.
