Man survives 200 pieces of buckshot fired into his back

Emrah Budak, a 21-year-old man, survived 200 pieces of buckshot fired at him, as he tried to break up a fight in eastern Turkey.

In a story that astounded doctors, the young man from the eastern city of Batman escaped with only bullet marks on his body from being shot repeatedly by a shotgun. His father Şeyhmus Budak said they were surprised that he recovered after being hit by dozens of pieces of buckshot.

"He was returning from work when he saw youths brawling. We heard more than 200 pieces of buckshot fired at him. He was immediately taken to the hospital, and we were shocked when we saw him covered in blood. Doctors removed buckshot from his liver, lungs, stomach and arms. The shots left horrible marks on him, but he is fine other than that," he said.
