VIDEO: Erdoğan recites Holy Quran in new mosque inaugurated in US
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan inaugurated on Saturday the Turkish-funded Diyanet Center of America located in the state of Maryland near Washington, D.C., where he also recited verses from the Holy Quran inside the mosque, after it was opened.
The facility, opened in a huge ceremony, is built on a 16-acre campus in Maryland, just 21 kilometers (13 miles) from the nation's capital, represents the 'külliye' tradition of a complex of social and religious buildings which were common in Turkeytarget="_blank"'>
