iPhone in pocket saves Turkish soldier's life when hit by bullet


A Turkish soldier was hit by a bullet fired by PKK terrorists on Friday during clashes in Nusaybin district of southeastern Mardin province, but thanks to his iPhone in the pocket of his pants, he was only lightly injured.

25-year-old Mustafa Bozok was sent to Nusaybin from the capital Ankara on a temporary mission, to participate in the operations against the PKK terror group. Bozok was hit on his right leg bu thanks to the iPhone in his pocket, the bullet did not go in all the way as it was stopped by the phone.

Bozok, whose phone was destroyed by the bullet, received treatment at Nusaybin Public Hospital.

The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU.
