Road crash kills 9 Syrians in southern province


At least 10 people including nine Syrians were killed and 18 others wounded Friday in a traffic accident in southern Turkey.

The accident occurred when a minibus traveling in the Yayladağı district of Turkey's southern Hatay province crashed after a tire burst.

District Mayor Mehmet Kalkan told reporters the 18 injured had been taken to hospital.

Kalkan also said the minibus had been carrying people who had illegally entered Turkey from Syria.
