Wild boar storms emergency room of hospital in central Turkey

A wild boar has stormed the emergency room of a private hospital in central Turkey's Konya province, leading people who were waiting nearby to panic.

The incident happened Friday morning, when the wild boar, which is thought to have come from nearby rural areas to the city center, ran straight ahead into the glass door of the ER of the hospital located in Konya's Selçuklu district.

Pedestrians, who saw the wild boar strolling around on the streets, immediately informed the authorities.

The animal was caught after serious efforts by a municipal team, and was later brought to an animal shelter.

No injuries were reported, however security footage showed that the wild boar attacked at least one pedestrian and damaged some buildings.
