TİKA project hailed in rural Ethiopia


A Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) project has been hailed by poor Muslims in rural Ethiopia as it enabled the call to prayer to be transmitted through loudspeakers, and brought lights to mosques for the first time there.TİKA, Turkey's leading development aid agency, installed solar panels at 20 different mosques in rural parts of the country to supply electricity to the houses of worship.The state-run agency also donated speakers and microphones to the mosques.
