Heat wave coming to Turkey


Temperatures across the nation will increase to above seasonal levels in the coming days, according to meteorologists.

Temperatures will increase to over 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) tomorrow in Istanbul and the surrounding region.

On the coastal regions to the south, along the Aegean and Mediterranean seas, temperatures will reach above 40 degrees C (104 F).

In the southeast where the heat wave will hit the hardest, temperatures will be close to 45 degrees C (113 F).

The head wave will last until Monday when temperatures are expected to drop to a more comfortable 30 degrees C (86 F).
