A new draft bill introduced by the Justice Ministry introduces a vast array of rights for the victims of crimes. The bill, unveiled on the ministry's website yesterday, will be presented before Parliament. If approved, victims of sex crimes, domestic violence, terrorism, human smuggling and other serious crimes will be financially supported by the state. Along with regular payments, the bill also provides the them with employment opportunities. Cash aid will be provided for victims from low-income households. Apart from the survivors, families of those killed by criminals will be entitled to aid. The draft bill says the aid will be "30 times more than minimum wage" at most.

The draft also specifies that surviving crime victims and family members of deceased victims will be prioritized in public employment.
