The Meteorology Department said yesterday that temperatures have been 6 to 10 degrees above seasonal averages for the past week and would continue to be so for the next 10 days.

In a statement, the department said temperatures in the Sakarya, Düzce, Zonguldak and Bartın provinces had broken their September records.

No precipitation was expected in anywhere in the country, it was said. September temperature records are expected in most places across the country.
