The family of a 22-year-old girl, who lost her life after falling down about 10 feet from the balcony of her house, has helped save five lives through organ donation.

In an interview to the press, the young girl's father said that the family decided to donate their daughter's organs and that it was the right thing to do.

"Let our daughter keep living in other souls. Maybe we will be able to hug the people who might receive my daughter's organs, we hope this will help us ease through this pain," he said.

It was learned that the young girl's heart, corneas, kidneys and liver were donated to the hospital.

The tragic accident happened on September 13 in a two-story building in Kocaeli's Gebze district.

While sitting on the marble edge of the balcony, Elif Kuru lost her balance and plunged to her death from the terrace of her house. Despite all medical efforts, doctors couldn't save the young girl's life.
