The Meteorological Department yesterday issued a statement warning that coming days will see a drop in temperatures by 6 to 10 degrees in the Marmara region, where Istanbul is located, as well as the Aegean region.

For the past few weeks, temperatures have hovered above seasonal norms and this expected drop will mean a return to normal temperatures.

There will be no dramatic temperature change anywhere else in the country.

According to the statement, rains accompanying the temperature drop will begin late in the European part of the country on Thursday, before covering the northwest on Friday.
