One soldier went missing in a flash flood that hit northwestern Turkey's Tekirdağ Wednesday.

Three more troops survived the ordeal after a river overflowed in the city's Saray district.

The soldiers and two police officers were traveling in an armored vehicle dispatched to help stranded locals.

The vehicle, however, tipped over in floodwater and the unidentified soldier was drifted away by the torrent.
