Minister of Agriculture Ahmet Eşref Fakıbaba told the Milliyet daily paper that the government would soon unveil a project to give 300 sheep to every family who migrate back to villages from cities they settled in, as a bid to increase the dwindling population of rural areas of the country.

In addition, families will also be offered minimum wage payments.

In return, the property owned in villages by beneficiaries will be mortgaged.
