Two commercial vessels collided off the coast of Istanbul’s European side district Silivri early Wednesday.

Authorities announced all contact was lost with Tuğberk Imamoğlu, one of the collided ships which had 10 crewmembers aboard. A search and rescue operation was launched in the Marmara Sea to reach the ship which likely sank after the collision with Alsu, the other vessel which did not sustain any damage during the incident.
