A passenger bus, plunged into the Marmara Sea in Istanbul's Eminönü district early Thursday, has been pulled out of the sea with the help of a crane after 6 hours of work.

Reports confirmed the bus was parked and unoccupied at the time of the incident, sparing potential casualties.

Police and rescue workers responded swiftly to the scene while the bus driver has been arrested. The investigation is underway.
