New tent erected by PKK terrorists in Brussels removed

A controversial tent set up by PKK terrorist organization supporters in Brussels was removed Thursday, eyewitnesses told Anadolu Agency.

The tent was removed as the permission received from the Belgian government to set up the tent ended at the end of March.

The tent had been set up in front of the European Council building in Brussels just two days after a terrorist attack killed dozens of people in the Turkish capital Ankara on March 13.

Although Belgian police had ordered tent to be removed following last week's bombings in Brussels, the PKK terrorist organization supporters set up the tent again.

Turkey had strongly condemned the permission granted, summoning the Belgian ambassador to Turkey Marc Trenteseau to the Foreign Ministry.

Belgian government ministers had made no move to interfere with the tents, although they had pledged to cooperate in the fight against terrorism.

Since the PKK-listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU-resumed its 30-year armed campaign in late July, more than 300 members of security forces have been martyred.

Turkey has regularly complained about EU member states' indifference to the terrorist organization.
