140 PKK terrorists killed in anti-terror ops in southeastern Turkey


A total of 140 PKK terrorists have been killed, 73 injured in anti-terror airstrikes in the past two weeks, Turkish military said.

Fifteen terrorists were killed in the southeastern Turkish province of Şırnak, said the General Staff early Friday.

In addition, two PKK terrorists were killed in a clash in the southeastern Siirt province.

The operations in the region were still ongoing, said the General Staff.

PKK, which is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and the EU-resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in July 2015.

Since then, over 440 members of the security forces, including troops, police officers, and village guards, and over 4,500 PKK terrorists have been killed in operations across Turkey and northern Iraq.
