Terrorist PKK roadside bomb injures 12 in southeastern Turkey's Nusaybin

PKK terrorists attacked a military vehicle on Tuesday in the Nusaybin district of Turkey's southeastern Mardin province, injuring 12 security officers, initial reports said.

The PKK detonated a roadside bomb during the passage of a military vehicle in the district, where there have been ongoing clashes between security forces and members of the terrorist group.

An operation has been launched in the area to apprehend the terrorists.

According to recent reports by military sources, some 437 terrorists have been killed since the start of operations in the Nusaybin district alone, whereas 400 barricades have been torn down, around 35 ditches have been filled and 1,024 handmade explosives have been destroyed.

Turkey's southeast has been the scene of significant military operations since December 2015 as police and the army seek to clear the PKK terrorist organization from urban areas.

The PKK, listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU, resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in July 2015.
