No room for dialogue with PKK terrorists, PM Yıldırım reaffirms

Prime Minister Binalı Yıldırım said that communications from the PKK terrorist organization suggest an end to the campaign they have been waging in Turkey could be in sight."These days the [PKK] terrorist organization sends direct and indirect messages that indicate they are ready to negotiate and could lay down their arms. We receive these kinds of messages through PKK affiliates. However, there's nothing to talk about," Yıldırım said on Wednesday evening at Justice and Development Party (AK Party) headquarters. "Our flag, the color of which symbolizes the blood of our martyrs, and its crescent, our independence, is the only thing that we can talk about.""If you want to talk about these you are more than welcome. However, if you think that you can discourage our nation with the fear of terrorism you will never succeed," Yıldırım said, adding that the fight against terrorism would continue until the safety of all Turkish citizens is guaranteed. He also instructed all deputies to work hard in their electoral districts this summer and demanded they explain the importance of a new constitution, including a switch to a presidential system, the problems of the current governing system and the AK Party's performance so far in government.
