MHP leader warns against negotiating with PKK

Nationalist Movement Party Chairman (MHP) Devlet Bahçeli said on Tuesday they would "make life unbearable" for the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) if they went back to the negotiating table with the PKK terrorist organization.Speaking at the weekly group meeting of his party in Parliament, Bahçeli said that the AK Party should not forget the security officers who lost their lives during the fight against the PKK. "The blood of the 589 martyred sons of the nation since July 20, 2015 should not be forgotten. The government should not think about getting together with the terrorist organization to start a resolution process," Bahçeli said. "The AK Party is currently looking for a reason to sit down at the table with the PKK. If we catch the AK Party meeting with the PKK in [hidden] corners, we will make life unbearable for them," he threatened.Underlining that the reconciliation process is over, Bahçeli also described the process as a "betrayal." "The process is over and buried. The burial of the betrayal is done. While President [Recep Tayyip] Erdoğan says that the fight against terrorism will be carried on, the prime minister echoes the same view. The terrorist organization should be smashed into pieces," Bahçeli said.
