Turkish military, coalition airstrikes kill 13 Daesh terrorists in northern Syria


Turkish military forces, in a joint operation with U.S.-led coalition airstrikes, killed 13 Daesh terrorists in northern Syria, military sources said in a statement.

According to the statement, during the operation 32 Daesh targets in northern Syria were destroyed, including the the group's defense buildings, defense positions, and a mounted rocket launcher vehicle, by Turkish army howitzers and the anti-Daesh warplanes.

Turkey has been under indiscriminate rocket attacks from neighboring Syria since mid-January. In the Kilis province alone, a total of 20 people have been killed and almost 70 others wounded by rockets which fell inside Turkish territory.

On a separate note, Turkish army jets early Saturday destroyed 16 PKK targets in the rural area of the Diyarbakir province's Lice district, the General Staff said.
