The Turkish military have killed nine PKK terrorists and destroyed arsenal belonging to the terrorists in Northern Iraq and southeastern Hakkari province, military sources said on Tuesday.

According to the sources, drones determined the location of terrorists and shelled the targets with howitzers on Monday, killing four PKK terrorists and injuring one.

In Hakkari province, domestic-made unmanned aerial vehicle Bayraktar determined the location of five PKK terrorists, who were also killed.

The military also detained three PKK/PYD terrorists trying to illegally cross the border from Syria through the Öncüpınar gate on Monday.

Between August 4 and September 20, the Turkish military killed a total of 292 PKK terrorists in Turkey's southeast.

The PKK, listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU, resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in July 2015.

Since then, over 600 security personnel, including troops, police officers and village guards and more than 7,000 PKK terrorists have been killed in operations across Turkey and northern Iraq.
