Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu explains that the Gülenist Terror Group (FETÖ) remains a threat in bilateral meetings with his counterparts from different parts of the world while he is in New York for the United Nations Summit.Çavuşoğlu held bilateral meetings with the Foreign Ministers of Mali, Czech Republic, Kenya, Ivory Coast and Paraguay. According to diplomatic sources speaking to Anadolu Agency, Çavuşoğlu gave information regarding the structuring of the terrorist group and how it operates around the world.During his meeting with the Mali FM, Çavuşoğlu stressed that FETÖ is a significant threat in Africa. In response, Abdoulaye Diop expressed his country's backing for the democratically-elected president and government of Turkey.Çavuşoğlu also stressed the FETÖ threat in his meeting with his Kenyan counterpart. He reportedly discussed the importance of preventing FETÖ from operating in Kenya.Having explained the FETÖ threat in Africa, Çavuşoğlu talked about Turkey's new strategies in Latin American countries. Eladio Loizaga, a diplomat of Paraguay, listened to Turkey's plans for Latin America. Both ministers underlined the significance of enhancing collaboration for the economy and politics.Çavuşoğlu recently addressed Europe to have a better dialogue channel for the refugee crisis. Describing Turkey as a country "at the crossroads of irregular migration," he said the international community must try harder on three fronts for any real chance of success."First, we need to address the root causes of the refugee movements.
