The bodies of six PKK terrorists were found inside a house in Turkey's southeastern Şırnak province yesterday.

According to a police source, who did not want to be named due to restrictions on talking to the media, police teams raided a house close to the state hospital after complaints were received about a strong stench coming from inside.

Police found six bodies, along with 12 AK-47s, a machine gun, 14 grenades, two long-range sniper scopes equipped with night vision and documents belonging to the PKK terrorist group.. The bodies were sent to the local state hospital for autopsies.

Operations against the PKK in Şırnak have been concluded, however, a curfew remains in place as anti-terrorist police and special operation teams search the city for explosives left behind by terrorists.

The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU, which resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in July 2015.
