Suspected PKK, FETÖ collaboration in events that killed dozens

The PKK and the Gülenist Terror Group (FETÖ) allegedly collaborated during the Oct. 6-7 events in 2014 that resulted in the deaths of dozens of civilians.

According to a report published in the Sabah daily, the PKK and FETÖ joined forces in the Oct. 6-7 events that killed 53 people.

The remains of Yasin Börü and his friends, who were killed on the second day of the Qurban Bayram holiday, as they distributed food aid to Syrian refugees, were found after they were attacked by PKK supporters who claimed their victims supported Daish.

The three young men were working for a charity helping the poor and found themselves in the middle of an angry mob of PKK supporters who were rioting during aid delivery. The three young men took shelter in an apartment building, but the mob found their way inside, beating, stabbing and torturing the three.

Börü's face was beyond recognition when the bodies were discovered after the riots ended. The Oct. 6-7 events were triggered by the pro-PKK Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş, who called on the Kurds to take to the streets and riot.

At the night of the killing of Börü, a woman called police repeatedly. Despite the calls, the police arrived at the scene of the incident quite late.

The Sabah daily report says that the Chief of Police who was responsible for the police emergency line was arrested as part of the FETÖ investigation. In addition, the deputy police chief was discharged from the duty.

Şırnak provincial member of the pro-PKK Democratic Regions Party (DBP), Hurşit Külter, was spotted in a PKK camp in Northern Iraq. There has been propaganda that claimed he went missing after his detention on May 27.

Pro-PKK figures started a smear campaign against the Turkish state, saying that Külter was tortured and went missing after he was held up in a basement for weeks.
