At least 19 Daish terrorists were killed in northern Syria as part of Operation Euphrates Shield to clear terrorists off of Turkey's borders, military sources said on Wednesday.

According to the sources, the terrorists were planning attacks on the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) forces.

Eight FSA fighters have been killed in clashes, while 22 others have been injured.

FSA has gained control over four residential districts during the operation, sources said and added that a total of 132 residential districts (around 1,100 square kilometers) have been taken from the terrorist organization.

Moreover, 77 Daish targets have been shelled and six other Daish targets, including buildings used by the terrorists have been bombed in airstrikes.

Meanwhile, coalition airstrikes have killed 28 Daish terrorists, and destroyed three buildings and a vehicle used by Daish.

Turkey launched Operation Euphrates Shield in cooperation with the FSA on Aug. 24 to clear its southern border of Daish terrorists and liberate northern Syrian towns from the terrorist group. In less than a day, the FSA, backed by the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) liberated Jarablus and continued marching from the east and the west.
