The People's Protection Units (YPG) had previously threatened Turkey with terror attacks with a video released in February this year where the group declared war on Turkey.
The YPG is recognized as the military wing of the PYD, which is the Syrian affiliate of the PKK terrorist organization operating in Syria.
The latest twin blasts in Istanbul, believed to be conducted by the PKK terrorist organization, killed at least 38 people, and injured 155 others. It is one of the bloodiest attacks organized by the terrorist groups following footage released by of the PKK/YPG.
Ankara has reiterated numerous times that the PKK, PYD and YPG terrorist groups consist a threat to Turkey's national security and has warned the international community several times that the terror groups will spread not only in Turkey's borders but also throughout the region.
The terror groups this year have so far conducted dozens of terror attacks and killed thousands of innocent people and security officers.
In the video recorded in Syria's PYD-controlled Amude, the hometown of Saleh Najer who is the perpetrator of the deadly Ankara bombing, a group of armed YPG militants are seen lined up in single files, apparently before a training session. The commander, speaking to the terrorists, is heard shouting slogans and uttering threats against Turkey in an attempt to provoke its terrorist members.
"As the people of Amude, from now on, we will defend the rights of our people, using every means available as Asayish, YPG, YPJ and HPJ," he says in the video.
"Our people are the same, we don't recognize any borders or boundaries. Amude is Nusaybin, Cizre, Diyarbakır. We will abolish the rotten borders," the commander adds, vowing unity with PKK terrorists living in Turkey.
"We will defend the rights of our people in the North [in southeastern Turkey]. With our people in Western and Northern Kurdistan, we will make [President Recep Tayyip] Erdoğan drown in his own blood," he pledges, adding that the PYD will "try" the President.
"What we are saying is, the fight of Western Kurdistan is the fight of Northern Kurdistan," he concludes labeling southeastern Turkey as part of the so-called "Kurdistan" while pointing to the PKKtarget="_blank"'>
