Muhammad Sohail Sajid, a Pakistani lawyer on Wednesday claimed that members of the Gülenist Terror Group (FETÖ) had gathered intelligence on Pakistani politicians during intelligence meetings.

"The real face of FETÖ is very different from what it seems. The group is very dangerous, not only for Pakistan or Turkey, but for the entire Islamic world," Sajid said at a conference organized by the South Asia Strategic Research Center in Istanbul.

He claimed that FETÖ members in Pakistan established a network with businessmen and politicians for illegal laundering, under the guise of educational activities in the country. Sajid said the terror group misused Pakistani people's love for Turkey and increased their influence in the country through the financial assistance of benevolent donors.

Addressing the conference, Prime Ministry Adviser Kudret Bülbül said FETÖ has infiltrated other countries' organizations and educational systems as well. "Because, we had left the field empty and did not occupy strategic areas, FETÖ filled up the void and now, we have to deal with this trouble," Bülbül said. Bülbül described FETÖ as "one of the most insidious and secretive organizations in the world." Meanwhile, Pakistani strategist Ibrahim Muhammad Qazi said that FETÖ is very influential in the country's media and continues to carry publications against Turkey. "A TV channel linked to FETÖ broadcasts using a Pakistani satellite, instead of a Turkish satellite," he claimed.
