125 terrorists killed in a month in operations across Turkey

A total of 191 terrorists have been rendered ineffective as a result of anti-terror operations throughout Turkey from May 22 to June 19, with 125 terrorists being killed in operations.

According to information from the Interior Ministry, security forces, which continue to struggle against terror groups and crime networks, carried out 2,315 operations against the PKK terrorist organization.

Within the scope of operations, 910 suspects were detained for helping or abetting a separatist terrorist organization, 68 were detained in connection with left wing terrorist organizations, 181 in connection with the Daesh terrorist organization, and 3,364 suspects were detained on the grounds of being members of the Gülenist Terror Group (FETÖ).

Throughout the month, 125 terrorists were killed, while 21 were captured alive, and 45 surrendered to security forces.

Security forces organized 2,755 narcotics operations, in an attempt to cut off a major financial resource of terrorist organizations.

In narcotics operations, 585.1 kilograms of heroin, 224.5 kilograms of cocaine, 25 kilograms of methamphetamine, 15.5 kilograms of cannabis, 7.1 kilograms of opioids, and 4.6 kilograms of synthetic drugs were confiscated.

Additionally, security forces seized 5, 849,000 cannabis plants , 2,068,000 individual pills, 3,371,000 illegal cigarettes and 374 ,660 liters of fuel.

In total, 3,816 suspects were taken into custody as a result of countrywide drug operations.
