Locals of the Mare district in northern Syria protested on Sunday night against a PKK invasion on Arab villages, Anadolu Agency (AA) reported.

Members of the terror group from the border villages of the Afrin district open fired on the workers in the farmlands and killed a girl in the district on Sunday. After the incident, locals gathered in Aleppo's Mare district and demonstrated against the PKK, demanding that the terror group withdraw from the Arab towns that it had invaded.

Locals from neighboring villages also attended the protest. Demonstrators carried placards and banners in Arabic and English protesting the terror group.

One of the protesters, Dr. Ahmed Hafız said that "It is our message to the Turkish government: We want to say that we are against the PYD [the Democratic Union Party] terror group."

Another protester, lawyer Mahmud Nacar said that "Our revolution against the regime, Shiite paramilitary and the PYD is not over. All of them are terror groups. The revolution will continue until we succeed. We thank Turkey and Turkish people for their support to Syrians."

Last Friday, a protest against the terror group was also held in another district of Aleppo, Azaz, after Friday prayer.

There have been some reports in the Turkish media recently, claiming that the Turkish military was imminent to launch a ground operation in Afrin in cooperation with the Free Syrian Army (FSA), but the talks at the table are believed to have postponed the Turkish offensive.

US-led coalition accidentally bombed its ‘ally' YPG-led SDF in Raqqa, killing 30, reports say

A U.S.-led air strike mistakenly killed 30 members of the People's Protection Units (YPG)-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) backed by Washington in the Akrishi province of Raqqa on Saturday, according to reports.

A senior official from the SDF told Sputnik that about 30 terrorists were killed in three separate bombardments by the coalition, and at least 15 were wounded. Those killed were all Arab fighters, the official added.
