PKK terrorist attack on construction site leaves 3 workers dead in southeast Turkey

Three workers were killed Monday after PKK terrorists attacked a road construction site in southeastern Turkey.

According a statement released by the Şırnak Governor's Office, the terrorists attacked the site in Uludere district near the border with Iraq early Monday.

An operation was launched to capture the terrorists who fled after the attack.

The workers, identified as Kadri Oslu, Ramazan Yakut and Cangir Yılmaz, became the latest civilian victims of the PKK, which indiscriminately targets teachers, local politicians and villagers in the region.

More than 1,200 people, including security personnel and civilians, have lost their lives since the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- resumed its decades-long armed campaign in July 2015.
