Fast reflexes by Davutoğlu

Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu was the first to come to the aid of Burkina Faso’s Foreign Minister Djibrill Yipene Bassole who fainted from exhaustion during a press conference in Ankara.



Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu was fast on his feet to help Burkina Faso's Foreign Minister Djibrill Yipene Bassole who fainted during a press conference the two were holding in Ankara. Davutoğlu's extremely fast reflexes managed to save the Burkina Faso Foreign Minister from tumbling to the ground. Once Davutoğlu grabbed Bassole, security guards immediately came to their assistance as the lectern toppled in front of them. Speaking to reporters after the incident Foreign Minister Bassole explained, "I had taken antibiotics and I was tired. I also arrived very late last night but now I feel fine."

Davutoğlu later accompanied Burkina Faso's Foreign Minister Bassole to the Atatürk Hospital in Ankara where he underwent a check-up. The visiting foreign minister was said to be in good medical condition however he had low blood sugar.

During the press conference, Davutoğlu commented on the situation in Syria by stating, "The Assad regime has no continuation. Nobody should be conducting dialogue based on the continuation of this regime."
