English humanitarian aid sees off from Istanbul to assist the Syrian people

A convoy of trucks from England containing humanitarian aid entered Turkey to reach Syria.



ISTANBUL

A convoy of 75 trucks which departed from England and contain humanitarian aid for the Syrian people saw off from Kazliçesme Square in Istanbul to Syria.

The aid convoy consists of 75 trucks including 40 ambulances, 5 fire trucks, 2 refuse trucks, passenger cars, and TRY 8 million of food, medicine, and clothing.

The convoy is expected to enter Syria via Turkey's Cilvegözü border crossing in Reyhanlı, a town in the Hatay province, during the Ramadan feast.

The convoy had entered Turkey via the Kapıküle border crossing point in the province of Edirne on Thursday.

There are 160 volunteers in the convoy as well as an ambulance, fire truck, and pickup trucks.
