An innovative electric car for the disabled

A new seatless electric car allows wheelchair users to simply roll into the vehicle from the rear door.



The "Kenguru", a car designed in Hungary, is Hungarian for kangaroo. With room only for one, the car features a remote-controlled pop-up rear door. Once charged, it can run for eight hours and has the capacity to do 40 kilometers per hour. Kenguru's production is expected to start in 18 months. With its compact design – only 2.15 meters long and 1.15 wide – it provides easy parking for the driver. The company, set to manufacture the car in the United States will be marketing its kangaroo for $25,000. Daily Sabah / Istanbul
