U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday called on Mexico to strengthen its campaign against drug cartels, a day after a military operation killed a high-profile cartel leader and triggered fresh unrest across the country.

"Mexico must step up their ​effort on Cartels ​and ⁠Drugs!" ‌he wrote ‌in a ⁠social ‌media ​post.
