Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said Monday that Tehran was ​not currently involved in any talks with the U.S. but was discussing a temporary safe route through Hormuz Strait with Oman.

Baghaei added that reaching an ⁠agreement with Oman is not sufficient ​to reopen the ​strait, as ⁠the ‌situation ‌will remain unchanged ⁠while ‌U.S. "aggression" ​continues.
