Istanbul’s open-air stages set the city humming with music, memories and unforgettable performances

Continuing her busy concert schedule, Turkish pop star Simge took the stage at Paribu Vadi Açıkhava, Istanbul’s largest permanent outdoor concert venue, for a night that sold out days in advance.

From the moment she stepped onstage, Simge had the crowd at a fever pitch, performing her biggest hits from throughout her career as well as a special selection of songs she enjoys performing live, giving music lovers an unforgettable night.

Simge’s first surprise for Istanbul audiences was Berkay. The two performed "Malum,” a song from Simge’s newly released album "Anlatasım Var,” together as a special guest appearance by Berkay.

Having previously come together for an acoustic version of the song, the duo shared the stage this time and also performed several arabesque songs. Their duet was met with minutes of applause from the audience.

Another surprise came after the concert. Simge met with five fans backstage, getting to know them and personally signing vinyl copies of her new album "Anlatasım Var” ("I Feel Like Telling You") with their names.

Teoman rocks Ataköy Marina

Following its opening night, Ataköy Marina Open-Air Stage echoed with the unforgettable songs of Turkish rock icon Teoman.

Istanbul’s newest open-air concert venue continued its musical journey, which began with Yıldız Tilbe on opening night, with Teoman on Friday, Sept. 4.

The 4,000-capacity Ataköy Marina Open-Air Stage was designed around the principle of "perfect visibility” and welcomed Teoman, one of the icons of Turkish rock music, for its second concert.

The excitement began at Ataköy Marina as soon as the doors opened, eventually giving way to Teoman’s powerful performance onstage. While concertgoers spent time in the foyer before the show, all eyes turned to Teoman as the stage lights came on.

Teoman opened the concert with "Çiçek Tarhları” ("Flower Beds"). Known for his distinctive lyrics, melodies and stage presence, which have made him a lasting presence in the memories of generations of listeners, Teoman performed some of his most enduring hits throughout the night. His powerful repertoire blended with the atmosphere of the Ataköy Marina Open-Air Stage as thousands of music lovers sang along to his songs.

The Ataköy Marina Open-Air Stage will continue welcoming music lovers with a series of special concerts throughout September and October. Teoman will return to the venue on Saturday, Oct. 24.
