Türkiye generated nearly $25.75 billion (TL 1.26 trillion) in tourism revenue in the first six months of 2026, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Sunday.

Marking World Tourism Day in a post on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal, Erdoğan congratulated Türkiye's tourism sector, describing it as the country's "chimney-free industry."

"We generated $25.746 billion in tourism revenue in the first six months of this year," he said.

"By the end of 2026, God willing, we will reach the level of $65 billion in line with our targets," he added.
