Three Turkish police officers were wounded after PKK terrorists attacked an armored police car with rocket launchers on Sunday in the Nusaybin district of the southeastern Mardin province.
The wounded officers were rushed to the nearby Nusaybin State Hospital. One of the three police officers, whose name was not clarified, succumbed to his wounds.
After the attack on the police vehicle, security forces retaliated the attack and loud gunshots were heard in the district.
Security forces launched an operation to find the terrorists.
The PKK, considered a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU, resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the country in late July 2015.
