WisdomNet Announcement on the Tragic Mining Explosion in Soma

We are deeply saddened by the tragic mining accident that claimed the lives of more than 299 miners in the Western part of Turkey on May 13th, 2014. We extend our deepest condolences to the families and relatives of those who lost their lives and those who are still trapped in the mine. We share Turkey's unspeakable grief and anguish. Our sincere thoughts and prayers go out to those who lost their loved ones in this catastrophic event. We pray that God's mercy and compassion be bestowed upon the deceased miners. May their souls rest in peace and may our prayers and thoughts soothe the burning hearts of the families afflicted by this unexpected tragedy.

We strongly condemn distorted and manipulative efforts to exploit such a tragedy for political gains. We hope that the Turkish authorities conduct a prompt and thorough investigation of this tragic incident, hold those who are accountable, and obtain justice for the families that have been affected by this horrific tragedy to prevent such heartrending incidents from ever happening again in the future.
