American comedian Chelsea Handler reportedly made controversial remarks on her Saturday night Netflix show 'Chelsea Does' against Muslim travelers, suggesting that there should be a special check administered before their boarding to planes.
"This is not a popular thing to say, but if Muslims are primarily the people that are blowing up planes, then I would like the TSA to be searching Muslims before I get on a plane," Jerusalem Post reported, citing Handler from her show.
The remarks made by the Jewish-American comedian, who is a vocal supporter of Israel, aroused ire on social media for its racial and hatred connotations.
Handler stands by her comments and says that she was being honest when she made the remarks supporting the profiling by the Transportation Security Administration, Business Insider reported.
"Yeah, I have these feelings. They're not necessarily right or wrong, but I have them, so I want to talk about them and say them out loud," the report cited Handler.
