The Moon and Stars Project, which is part of the American Turkish Association in New York and organizes programs emphasizing the Turkish culture and the changing face of art will be holding a relief concert for Van on Sunday, November 13th which will feature Kardeş Türküler and Grammy award-winning musician Arto Tunçboyacıyan as well as one of the world’s leading oud performers Ara Dinkjian on the same stage.
The concert will be held at the Kaufman Center's Merkin Concert Hall, the proceeds from which will be donated to the earthquake victims in Van. Kardeş Türküler will have Feryal Akkaya, Fehmiye Çelik and Vedat Yıldırım on vocals, Ayhan Akkaya on base, Tevfik Çekiç playing the violin, Barış Güney on bağlama, Selda Öztürk and Burcu Yankın playing percussions, Saro Usta on the accordion and Arto Tunçboyacıyan on vocals and percussions as well as Ara Dinkjian accompanying on the cümbüş and oud.
